Katoomba Comedy Club
World-class comedy comes to the Blue Mountains on the first Friday of each month, when AVALON presents Katoomba Comedy Club.
Hosted by the outrageously witty local comedian Amanda Gray, experience our finest home-grown comedy acts - as well as emerging local talent - who’ll make you laugh out loud in the intimate setting of The Gin Parlour lounge.
Grab yourself a drink from the bar and get ready to laugh yourself silly with a rotating line up of some of the greatest comedians from around Australia and our own backyard. Or, why not book a table for dinner before the show.
Bar open from 5.30pm. Show time 8pm-10pm (with intermission)

Enjoy an intimate dinner and show, with music by some of our best local musicians, each Saturday night at The Gin Parlour.
Housed in our charming art-deco lobby, the full AVALON dinner and drinks menu is available.
Music is from 7pm-9pm. A cover charge of $15 per person supports our musicians and reserves your seat for the night. Bookings essential.

Titanic Dinner Party
ALL ABOARD for an historical “First Class” voyage… At our most unique event ever, Avalon presents the world’s fastest violinist Vov Dylan with members of The Palace Orchestra who will recreate the band, the music and the stories from the Titanic. Meanwhile, the Avalon culinary crew will reimagine the last meal served on that fateful night, with dishes from the Titanic's First Class menus.

Join us for dinner and an evening of Jazz a la Creole with Kid Hank. Hank (aka. Henry Manuell) drags New Orleans tradition hard into the 21st Century in a cocktail of folk, blues and roots, harvesting an eclectic blend of toe-tapping sing-alongs. Cover charge $10

The Mountain Jazz Trio with Pam Allen has been at the heart of the local jazz scene for the past 20 years. The Trio is George Gerontakos on double bass, Frank Corby on drums and Neil Sagewood on piano. Pam Allen provides the vocals. FREE EVENT.
The Jean Marshall Trio
The Jean Marshall Trio features Jean Marshall on vocals, Joel Fox on guitar and George Gerontakos on double bass. They perform a range of cool blues and warm jazz with a repertoire ranging from the jazz era through to now, from quirky to classics.

Robbie Mann presents his New Orleans Quartet, a group dedicated to the musical traditions of early New Orleans Jazz. Led by Robbie on Clarinet, the band pays its respects to early Jazz Clarinet greats such as George Lewis, Johnny Dodds and Sidney Bechet.

Introducing 3 Birds & The Truth, a captivating musical collaboration of Amber Kenny, Beth Lucas, and Jo Caseley. Amber enchants with beguiling melodies and honest lyricism while Beth offers a fresh take on alt-country, infusing it with modern pop sensibilities. Jo rounds out the trio, heavily influenced by the soundscapes of Paul Kelly and Kasey Chambers.
